What we collect
When you visit this website: our web server and Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site, record basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.
When you send an enquiry: the details you give us on the form, such as your name, phone number, email address, company or estate, site location and message.
When you call or email us: your contact details and anything you tell us about your site or project.
When you become a client: contact details for the people we deal with, the address of your site, the plans, drawings and system details we need to design, install and support your system, and billing details.
Camera footage and entry records
The CCTV footage and door entry records produced by systems we install belong to you, and are stored on your own equipment. You are the data controller for that information.
When we support or maintain your system, on site or remotely, we may be able to see that information. In that case we act as a data processor on your instructions. We only access your system when the work needs it, and we don’t copy or keep footage unless you ask us to, for example to export a clip for the police.
Why we use your information
- To reply to enquiries and give you a quote, because you’ve asked us to.
- To carry out and support the work you’ve engaged us for, under our contract with you.
- To keep accounts and records, because the law requires it.
- To keep this website and our systems secure, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to, with:
- Flinkton Limited, who host this website in the UK and work with us on some projects.
- Cloudflare, who protect and deliver this website, and check enquiry form submissions are from a real person (Cloudflare Turnstile).
- SMTP2GO, who deliver the emails sent from our enquiry form.
- Google Workspace, who provide our email and documents, and Xero, who provide our accounting software.
- Partners or subcontractors working on your project, only with the details they need.
- The police or other authorities, where the law requires us to.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to work: up to 12 months.
- Client records and invoices: 6 years after our last job for you, as required for tax.
- Website server logs: kept for a short period for security, then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we don’t need to keep it by law
- object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- ask us to move your information to another provider, where that applies

Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first and we’ll put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
